Why do people drive sports cars if they are not going to take them to the race track?
I don’t think people should buy Corvettes and 911s if all they’re going to do if drive to and fro from work slogging around in traffic. What do you guys think? Shouldn’t you buy a car that fits the purpose of what you’re doing? If you’re going to buy a sports car buys a sports car thats built for the road like an RX-8 or a Mustang.
It all comes down to personal preference. Some people simply prefer the feel of a low-slung sports car, and enjoy the speed and excellent handling even in day-to-day driving. It’s no different than people who buy an Suv to haul people… a job better done by a station wagon or minivan.
For what it’s worth, the Corvette and 911 are considered to be just fine for daily driving, especially compared to Astons and Ferraris and the like.
